About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialised Caregiver to join our team at HammondCare Horsley.

As a Specialised Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents with dementia, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
  • Domestic Assistance: Provide cooking, cleaning, and laundry services to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Engagement and Activities: Encourage residents to participate in activities they enjoy, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to the care team, ensuring timely interventions and support.
Requirements
  • Passion for Caregiving: Demonstrate a genuine passion for serving elderly people and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
  • Flexibility: Be able to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure 24/7 care coverage.
  • Teamwork and Initiative: Value teamwork but also be able to work independently, taking initiative to address residents' needs and concerns.
  • Aged Care Experience: Have knowledge and experience working with people living with dementia and their specific needs.
  • Certification: Hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or a related field, with a willingness to pursue further education and training.
