Chief Compliance Officer

The role involves reporting directly to the Managing Director of our global company, which has offices in various locations across Australia. As an expert in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management, you will provide guidance and support to colleagues in solving complex issues and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all EHS procedures are followed, and incidents are reported accordingly;
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of the EHS management system to ensure compliance with legislation;
- Assisting managers with incident investigations and hazard management;
- Developing and implementing remedial actions in conjunction with department managers;
- Driving the EHS risk management process across the organization and providing stakeholders with necessary advice and assistance;
- Conducting regular audits to ensure processes, systems, and contractors comply with relevant laws and corporate policies;
- Facilitating and leading risk reviews and workshops;
- Preparing performance reports and statistical analysis;
- Providing leadership and support to line managers and supervisors to ensure appropriate compliance checks, analysis, and risk assessments are conducted efficiently;
- Monitoring and communicating changes to EHS legislation to relevant stakeholders.
