About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Linehaul Supervisor to join our Truganina VIC office team. As a key member of our national linehaul network, you will oversee daily operations, source service providers, and identify efficiencies to enhance cost savings for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and allocate daily ad-hoc linehaul tasks to suitable service providers
  • Collaborate with the Linehaul Manager to develop and maintain a strategic GT linehaul network
  • Ensure all operations adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, prioritizing health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Work with the Linehaul Manager to track and implement business improvements
  • Monitor and manage transport costs through initiatives aimed at increasing revenue or reducing expenses
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess network performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Coordinate with CEVA operational sites to ensure timely availability of freight to carriers according to service specifications
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external customers

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require proven experience supervising linehaul operations, as well as:

  • Familiarity with state metropolitan, rural areas, and major road routes within Australia
  • A strong ability to implement and understand cost control measures for efficient and cost-effective transport operations
  • Applied knowledge of Australian road transport regulations, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Brake Fault Management (BFM)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders and plan effectively

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary, estimated at $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
