About the Role

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator and Training Specialist to join our team.

This 12-month contract position offers opportunities for growth and professional development in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORTING OPERATIONAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES BY OPERATING SITE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT TRAINING ACTIVITIES, CONDUCT SITE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES, ASSIST WITH MACHINE DATA COLLECTION, AND UNDERTAKE TRAINER DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
  • DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING TRAINING MATERIALS
  • DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING DELIVERY PROGRAMS
  • ROLE MODELING AND DEMONSTRATING ONEHD VALUES AND BEHAVIOR BOTH INTERNALLY AND EXTERNALLY

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Production operator of 3 or more of the following equipment: large mining dozers, mechanical and electric haul trucks, excavators and face-shovels, graders, large wheel loaders, underground LHD loaders
  • Demonstrated CAT experience
  • RII or Signed verified machinery skills list (training transcripts)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
