Heavy Equipment Operator

As a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic production mining environment. With a focus on pit maintenance and efficient operations, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum output while prioritizing safety and compliance.
In this role, you will:
- Operate heavy machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to maintain optimal pit conditions.
- Comply with company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with Mining Supervisors to respond to instructions and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and condition.
- Prioritize housekeeping standards to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience operating heavy equipment in a production mining setting.
- Proven skills in maintaining pit floors and bunds, with a strong understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration.
- Experience operating CAT D10, D11, D10T, or 854K machinery is highly desirable.
- A current HR driver's license is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to health and safety, with a proven track record of adhering to company protocols.
