About the Role

This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned engineer to lead initiatives that span teams and business units. You'll drive architecture decisions, design complex systems, and bring deep backend expertise to projects touching finance, customer service, and infrastructure.

  • Engineering Excellence (EngEx): Help scale our platform-wide architecture and influence cross-team technical strategy.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and drive technical strategy and architecture for complex, business-critical systems.
  • Design and lead the implementation of scalable, resilient backend services.
  • Collaborate across product, data, and engineering teams to align tech solutions with business goals.
  • Solve large-scale backend challenges involving data integrity, latency, throughput, and observability.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct architectural reviews, and foster a high-performance engineering culture.

About You:

  • Proven experience in backend development, preferably with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and data consistency strategies.
  • Experience with secure, auditable systems - especially in regulated domains.
  • Strong technical leadership and architectural decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with high autonomy.
