Role Overview

Lead the development of business strategies to drive membership growth and deliver an exceptional member experience.

You'll oversee the full member lifecycle, provide expert guidance on compliance, human resources and industrial relations, shape strategy, manage campaigns and events, and champion technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive membership growth strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Create annual membership plans to meet acquisition and retention targets.
  • Monitor and report on membership growth, retention, and emerging trends.

Business Development & Member Acquisition

  • Progress prospects from suspects to qualified leads, articulating the value proposition.
  • Build relationships with prospects and gain commitment to join as members.
  • Track and report on acquisition activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Member Engagement & Retention

  • Oversee the full member lifecycle including onboarding, renewals, retention, satisfaction, and offboarding.
  • Support continuous improvement of member products and services offered.
  • Develop techniques to drive retention, referrals, and overall member satisfaction.
  • Deliver consistent and responsive member service.

Compliance, HR & IR Support

  • Provide general advice to members on compliance issues (e.g., fatigue management, safety).
  • Provide general advice to members on human resources and industrial relations matters (e.g., employment conditions, disputes).
  • Manage third-party suppliers who deliver specialist compliance, HR, and IR services.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Manage and develop a small team to deliver a best-in-class member experience.
  • Build and maintain a culture of respect, professionalism, collaboration, and support within the team and towards members.
  • Provide clear guidance, set expectations, and address performance issues effectively.

Strategic Contributions

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage regular review and enhancement.
  • Lead technology adoption and integration into business processes.
  • Foster transparent and effective internal communication.
  • Manage risks proactively and implement mitigations in line with business expectations.

This is a full-time position offering remuneration based on experience.
