
Safety and Quality Lead

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to provide high-level, accurate, and timely advice to support the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist in its safety and quality functions.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across government and non-government sectors to foster a collaborative Territory Wide service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the development of strategic support to the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist.
- Provide administrative and secretariat services to committees and working groups.
- Support reviews and investigations into matters of a highly confidential nature.
- Liaise with Mental Health Services across the Northern Territory.
- Prepare reports, discussion papers, executive briefings, and ministerial correspondence.
- Maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Follow defined service quality standards and work health and safety policies.
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safety and quality management principles in healthcare.
- Proven organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent high-level interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to critically review and report on policy matters and governance.
- Experience in formulating, implementing, and evaluating strategic policies and programs within health.
