We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Energy Solutions Expert to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of renewable energy by designing and engineering innovative solutions for power facilities.
- You will collaborate with project teams to develop sustainable energy projects, including battery energy storage systems and balance of plant design for renewable generation.
- Developing specifications and scope of work documents and preparing detailed engineering design reports are key responsibilities in this role.
- Conduct feasibility studies for integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and emerging technologies into transmission and distribution networks.
- Provide technical support to project managers and clients, addressing technical inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring project objectives are met.
- Create drawing packages in conjunction with the drafting team for renewable generation balance of plant design.
- Conduct field visits and inspections to assess distribution infrastructure conditions and identify potential improvements.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.
- You should have 5-10 years of relevant experience in consulting, development, or a power utility environment.
- A sound understanding of industry codes and standards related to power, such as AS2067 and AS/NZS 3000, is necessary.
- Experience in any related power design field, including building services, mining, LV or MV design, with HV Substations experience being well regarded.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive approach to building client relationships through listening, responsiveness, and effective communication.
- Project management and bid management experience are highly valued.
