Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced process worker to join our team in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

About the Role:

The process worker will report directly to the Workshop Foreman and work closely with the State Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing fabrications within strict tolerances using state-of-the-art machinery and trade secret techniques
  • Completing onsite installations of conveyor belting at major food production companies
  • Attending to breakdown requirements and resolving urgent situations for clients
  • Performing different splicing and vulcanizing techniques on a range of belting materials

Requirements:

  • High regard for safety towards oneself and team members
  • Effective instruction following and coordination with workshop supervisors
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards within the fabrication workshop and onsite facilities
  • Working within a HACCP environment
  • Cleaning machines after each fabrication or installation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • High motivation
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding work ethic

Deseable Skills:

  • Forklift license
  • Experience working with conveyors and componentry
  • Stanley knife skills
  • Measuring capabilities
  • Previous mechanical and workshop experience
  • Problem-solving
  • Australian driving license and flexibility to travel around Victoria Metro and regional areas
