We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Companion to join our team at Right at Home. As a Care Companion, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our clients, enabling them to live independently and safely in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversations to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care, to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Accompany clients on outings and appointments, providing transportation and support as needed.
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Satisfactory Australian National Police check
- Current first aid and CPR certificate
- BlueCard
- Driver's licence and own car (full comprehensive insurance)
- Currently studying Certificate III, preferred but not essential
A successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. They will also have a passion for caring for others and a willingness to participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
