About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Group Reporting & Analytics (GR&A) function at Westpac Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing reporting, analytical, and data management services to our internal customers and external regulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review regulatory returns, analyze data, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate expertise in solving business problems, managing stakeholder priorities, and meeting reporting needs.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the control environment for regulatory reporting.
  • Visualize data, create reports and dashboards, and communicate complex ideas to inform business decisions.
  • Respond to queries and perform business-as-usual tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Financial Services sector.
  • CA, CPA, or similar professional accounting qualifications.
  • Ability to link business, accounting, and regulatory concepts and translate into specific deliverable documentation.
  • Experience with data visualization using Excel.
  • A solid understanding of the Financial Services sector, particularly regulatory reporting.
  • Experience in a data risks and controls environment.
  • Intermediate user of analytical tools in Microsoft Excel.
