About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for utilizing your mechanical skills to remove, overhaul, and install a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize mechanical expertise to remove, overhaul, and install mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Work to the highest standards using engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Operate general workshop machinery specific to mechanical fitting.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Requirements
  • Demonstratable experience of working within high performing engineering teams focused on delivering engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated experience of working on the removal, installation, and overhaul of Marine Mechanical Equipment, focusing on propulsion equipment, auxiliary systems, and power generation equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and hold SC Security clearance.
Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30, Friday: 07:30 - 12:30, with potential for shifts and overtime.
