Pathology Collector Specialist

Job Title: Specimen Collector
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Specimen Collector. This is an exciting opportunity to work in diverse health settings, providing a range of collection services with care and attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Filling shifts at various collection centres and hospital environments for scheduled and unplanned absences
- Building collection skills from working in diverse health settings and performing a wide range of collection services
- Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
- Maintaining meticulous records for every patient and sample
- Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
About You:
- High level of empathy, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently within a collection centre or hospital environment
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B and COVID-19 are required
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection is advantageous
Traits and Requirements:
- Right to work, background checks, and clearances
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or a valid visa with permission to work
Training and Development:
All new Specimen Collectors receive full training upon commencement.
