This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in community health services and contribute to the development of resources that support training and education.
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled trainer and resource developer with experience in community health services to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading learning activities, providing support and feedback to students, observing and assessing student competency, and developing engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead students in learning activities to meet course competency requirements.
- Provide support and feedback to students during the course.
- Observe and assess student competency and performance according to course requirements.
- Develop engaging and compliant learning and assessment resources.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability)
- Certificate IV in Ageing Support
- Short courses such as HLTHPS007: Administer and Monitor Medications
- A qualification in a relevant field at or above the course you will teach.
- Completion of TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
- Course resource and assessment development experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Aged Care or Disability Support Worker role.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to engage, lead, mentor, and encourage students in classroom and clinical environments.
- Experience working with student management systems including aXcelerate.
- Understanding of Smart and Skilled (NSW Government subsidized training) contract requirements.
- Minimum 2 years current teaching or facilitation experience.
