We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join our team as a Civil Construction Apprentice. This is a unique opportunity to launch your career with Transport for NSW.

This 3-year fixed-term, full-time Apprenticeship offers a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance). You will receive hands-on experience and comprehensive training while working towards this qualification.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for completing paid work alongside structured training to develop practical, in-demand skills for a career in civil construction. The rates of pay are dependent on age at commencement, ranging from $640.50 per week for those under 21 years old to $1,191.40 per week for those 21 years old or over.

To succeed in this role, you must possess a positive and accountable approach, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to manage your time effectively and stay organised.

  • You must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.
  • You have completed Year 10 or hold a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent.
  • You are ready to commence full-time employment in February 2026.
  • You hold, or are in the process of obtaining, a C Class driver licence.
  • You have access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
  • You are comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic as required.
  • You are willing to travel as part of your role.
  • You have basic computer literacy skills.
