We are seeking an experienced construction underwriter to join our team. As a specialist underwriter, you will work closely with our clients to provide tailored solutions for their construction insurance needs.

Job Description:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the team working on Open Market construction portfolios and submissions – both Material Damage and Third-Party Liability
  • Negotiate market competitive T&C outcomes for presentation to customers and brokers
  • Ensure compliance with systems, processes, underwriting guidelines, governance and compliance frameworks
  • Support senior team members in building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with key Carrier and Broker stakeholders
  • Maintain and execute on partner plans (existing and new broker relationships) ensuring growth targets are achieved.
  • Prepare and oversee Open Market submissions into overseas and local carrier markets

Requirements:

  • Exceptional business acumen, negotiation skills and business development within construction Broking OR Underwriting
  • Expert knowledge of Australian and global construction policies
  • Prior people management experience
  • Ambitious and growth mindset
