Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to spearhead our project design team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of projects within our EPC business unit, providing technical advice on electrical design from start to finish.

  • Lead a team of engineers and draftspersons to carry out multiple projects
  • Ensure that electrical design meets all project objectives
  • Detailed design of electrical systems and subsystems
  • Coordinate consulting engineers to carry out studies or scope of work
  • Prepare design work to meet engineering specifications and comply with relevant standards
  • Procure materials and equipment to complete projects
  • Conduct basic estimates for engineering work
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Perform commissioning and testing of installed equipment
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with a broad range of electrical design, project engineering, and project support
  • Senior/Principal level of Electrical Engineering with CPEng certification
  • Similar related heavy industry experience
  • Ideal experience with full project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of LV to HV (primary and secondary systems), protection, earthing, lighting, and hazardous area competency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative and problem-solving ability
  • MS Suite, MS Project, and AutoCad desirable
  • Driver's license
