Our Opportunity

As a Fixed Plant Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of all Ore Processing Facility equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing of all Ore Processing Facility equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Risk Assessment and Control: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance works are completed to schedule and to a high standard, adhering to Fortescue's quality and compliance protocols.
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Fault Finding: Diagnose and repair faults in Ore Processing Facility equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification: Possess a Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification with proven experience in a Fixed Plant maintenance environment.
  • Experience in Crushing, Grinding, Screening, and Pumping Assets: Have experience in maintaining crushing, grinding, screening, and pumping assets, with a strong understanding of their operation and maintenance requirements.
  • Computer Literacy and SAP Experience: Demonstrate strong computer literacy and experience with SAP, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools in a maintenance environment.
  • High Risk Work License: Possess a current High Risk Work License, with experience in EWP, Rigging, Dogging, and Telehandler operations.
