About the Role

The Maintenance Officer is a key member of our resort operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our maintenance department. This includes maintaining all resort rooms and amenities, managing inventories, caring for equipment, and performing the resort preventative maintenance program. Additionally, this role will be responsible for maintaining the resort grounds and gardens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all resort rooms and amenities to the highest standard
  • Manage inventories and ensure accurate tracking of equipment and supplies
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain the resort grounds and gardens to create a welcoming environment for guests

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in maintenance and grounds/gardens
  • Understanding of basic Occupational Health & Safety principles and chemical handling
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact with owners and guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Flexibility to work a varied roster, including weekends, school, and public holiday periods
