We are seeking an experienced Family Services Practitioner to join our team on a short-term locum contract. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality intake and case management supports to vulnerable children and families across Melbourne. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of family violence theoretical frameworks and interventions, as well as demonstrated experience working with high-needs, complex families. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quality intake, outreach case management, and case coordination to a caseload of vulnerable families and their children.
  • Conduct comprehensive family assessments to identify needs and develop case plans.
  • Facilitate referrals to other services, such as mental health, housing, alcohol and other drug services, and other community services, as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with other government and community organizations, including Child Protection, to support outcomes.

This opportunity provides a chance to work in a dynamic environment, providing short-term locum contracts that can range from 6 weeks to 6 months. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of families and develop your skills in a supportive team environment.
