Project Manager Job Description

CQUniversity is seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead a major campus development in the Cairns CBD. This project will involve managing the full lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and completion, operating in a client-side role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage stakeholder engagement, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
  2. Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
  3. Develop and implement effective project management plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Requirements:
  1. Proven experience leading infrastructure projects of $50M or more through all phases.
  2. Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, including scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and submissions.
