**Job Summary**
The City of Karratha is seeking a Senior Statutory Planner to join our dynamic Planning Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and timely statutory planning services, working on complex planning applications, and contributing to strategic development initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and implement statutory planning strategies, policies, and development approvals.
- Assess complex development applications, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on planning matters, ensuring compliance with local and state planning legislation.
- Assist in the development and refinement of planning schemes, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare reports for Council and the Joint Development Assessment Panel.
**Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in land use planning or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant planning experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation and development processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
