Advanced Navigation is seeking a Senior Production Engineering Manager to lead its high-volume electronics manufacturing operations. This challenging role requires the ideal candidate to possess 10+ years of experience in Production & Production Engineering functions, with a proven track record of managing people and teams.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production line, ensuring quality management and returns management are maintained at a high standard. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of 7 Production Engineers, providing direction, coaching, development, and support to ensure they deliver against quarterly goals and weekly targets.
  • Taking a leadership role in Advanced Navigation's quarterly planning process, representing and upholding core Production Engineering principles with internal stakeholders.
  • Educating the business through formal and informal communications, partnering with the Head of Production to maintain the Production Line and drive scale in high-performing product lines.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase throughput, designing solutions, and implementing them with the team.
  • Working with the team to ensure Advanced Navigation's Production equipment is optimised, maintained, and available for use, partnering with the Head of Purchasing & Logistics to ensure effective working with quality, innovative suppliers.
  • Driving supplier selection protocols within the business, partnering with the Support Team to ensure efficient Customer Returns Management.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in high-volume electronics manufacturing, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. They must be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business, possessing a high level of attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.

A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum is on offer, depending on experience, along with access to industry-leading products with diverse applications in exciting projects worldwide. Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Production & Production Engineering functions with a solid track record of managing people.
  • 5+ years of experience working in high-volume electronics manufacturing.
  • Capable of upskilling quickly to develop deep technical capabilities in a challenging technical domain.
  • Able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business.
  • Strong, efficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Familiarity with an ERP tool, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or SAP.
