About the Role

The Marketing and Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with Anglican Overseas Aid's (AOA) three-year strategic vision. This role will oversee the development of supporter journeys, manage direct mail and digital fundraising activities, and lead the production of high-quality content for various channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a detailed marketing and communications plan that supports AOA's strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate supporter lifecycle journeys, providing a single view of activities and ensuring required collateral is produced.
  • Manage direct mail and digital fundraising activities and platforms to ensure accurate and relevant information is communicated and the supporter experience is optimized.
  • Lead and manage direct reports to provide guidance and ensure a productive environment that aligns with AOA's values.
  • Ensure the production of high-quality content for various channels, including the website, social media, digital newsletters, and appeals.
  • Lead AOA's communications in response to humanitarian emergencies, ensuring accurate and timely information and materials are available for supporters.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Degree qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Sympathetic to and aligned with AOA's Christian faith-based values, origins, and key stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong people and project management skills.
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
