Senior Geologist Opportunity

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise to a highly engaged team, where your efforts and impact will be recognized and valued immensely. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geological findings and interpretations with those of other scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review geological models or interpretations
  • Construct and review block models supporting Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates
  • Participate in the preparation of Technical Reports for public disclosure
  • Act as a Competent Person (CP) or Qualified Person (QP) for relevant disclosure documents
  • Communicate technical findings through meetings, technical reports, and presentations
  • Project management, including leadership of other geologists and third-party consulting groups
  • Ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in geosciences. Advanced training in geostatistics viewed favourably.
  • Registered Licensed Professional such as AusIMM CP(Geo), P. Geo., CGeol., or equivalent, and where experience permits, willingness to act as a CP or QP (or alternate) for Mineral Resources.
  • Significant knowledge of Leapfrog geological modelling software (additional modelling software knowledge viewed favourably).
  • Experience with 3D geological modelling, data analysis, block modelling, and resource estimation. The ability to create and employ custom workflows using Python will be viewed favourably.
  • Experience in an exploration and/or operational environment.
  • We anticipate the successful candidate having a minimum of 8 years of diverse industry experience.
