We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to join our team as an ARC Grant-Funded Researcher. This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity available for 12 months.

About the Role

In this role, you will work as part of a large international team on wall-bound flows and turbulent boundary layer control. The project primarily comprises experiments in wind tunnel and mathematical modelling. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing a novel passive flow control method using micro-perforated surfaces
  2. Conducting experiments in wind tunnel and mathematical modelling
  3. Collaborating with the team to achieve project outcomes

As part of this role, you will also contribute to the supervision of honours, master's, and PhD students.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  2. A strong track record of research accomplishments, including publications in high-quality journals
  3. Demonstrated experience in working with wind tunnels and flow measurement devices
  4. Demonstrated experience in experimental measurement and mathematical modelling of boundary layer flows
  5. A commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and the ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community
