Job Title: Landscaper and Gardener

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled landscaper and gardener to join our team at the InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a five-star luxury environment with amazing career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and construct landscapes, including preparing plans, selecting materials and plants, and building garden features using various materials.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, ensure plant health, and implement erosion and drainage solutions.
  • Respond to weather-related impacts and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Mentor junior staff and adhere to WHS and environmental standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in landscaping, horticulture, and garden maintenance, preferably in commercial or high-end properties.
  • Relevant qualifications, a White Card, and a Queensland driver's licence.
  • Physically fit (majority of work is outdoors), knowledgeable in irrigation and plant care.
  • Strong communication and compliance skills.
