Geophysicist Role

We are seeking a skilled Geophysicist to join our team and contribute to various infrastructure projects across Australia. As a Geophysicist, you will be responsible for collecting geophysical surveys, undertaking downhole logging surveys, and assisting with the processing, drafting, and reporting of geophysical datasets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze geophysical data using various techniques such as Seismic Refraction, MASW, Electrical Resistivity, Magnetics, Ground Penetrating Radar, Electromagnetics.
  • Conduct downhole geophysical logging surveys using a range of techniques.
  • Process and draft geophysical datasets, including seismic data and electrical resistivity data.
  • Maintain and safely operate geophysical equipment.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics or Geology.
  • Numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with geophysical acquisition and processing software, including Rayfract, ParkSeis, Oasis Montaj (Geosoft), Res2DInv, Seis Imager 2D, ReflexW, and WellCAD.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Ability to pass a medical examination and regular drug and alcohol screening.
