About the Position

This role is responsible for providing customer support to personnel using the facilities, ensuring they are safe, well maintained, and run smoothly. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries.

Key duties include providing out-of-hours and weekend Range Control Function, on-site security access, safety briefings, and operation of radio systems. General non-tech maintenance and cleaning duties, as well as first response bushfire fighting and monitoring of fire grounds, are also essential.

You will need to be confident when dealing with various people at different levels both internally and externally, and have good written and verbal communication skills.

As a self-driven and safety-conscious individual, you will be accomplished at performing work autonomously, responding to concerns, demonstrating by example, and keeping open and clear communication lines.

Skills & Experience

","

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within Defence or a similar operational environment, is essential. You will also require a valid Australian manual driver's licence, current Operational licences and equipment tickets, and experience with relevant tools including power tools and chain saws.

A working knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and storage maintenance, as well as high-level navigational/orientation skills, is desirable. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, computer literacy, and basic report writing skills are also required.
