Senior Structural Design Lead

About the role:

We seek a highly motivated Senior Structural Design Lead to join our Melbourne team. As a technical leader, you will contribute to various major infrastructure projects, industrial developments, and commercial ventures while providing guidance in structural materials to junior team members.

  • Be a technical focal point for the structural team in Melbourne
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to solve complex problems
  • Liaise with clients, design technicians, and other team members to deliver practical solutions
  • Manage client relationships, prepare fee proposals, and tender documentation
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in structural design
  • Deep knowledge in structural engineering design and possession of Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent
  • Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and problem-solving mentality
  • Willingness to mentor and review technical documentation for junior members
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues and clients
