Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and guide customers in exploring their personal interests and developing independent living skills.
  • Administer medication and adhere to individual support plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for customers.
  • Complete clear and concise handover notes and incident reports to maintain accurate records.
  • Provide personal care services when required, including toileting, showering, feeding, and dressing.
  • Assist customers in engaging with local communities and participating in recreational activities that promote social interaction and community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be comfortable and knowledgeable in providing personal care services.
  • Epilepsy management knowledge is essential for this role.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with crisis management principles and basic computer skills, including data entry, record keeping, scanning, and printing.
  • Versatile communication skills, with the ability to interact with verbal and non-verbal customers.
  • Current driver's license and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (must be obtained).
