Job Title: Inclusive Learning Specialist
About the RoleBathurst Public School is a leading educational institution with a proud heritage as the oldest public school in the district. The school has contributed to the city's rich history by educating generations of Bathurst's children.
The school's leadership team is actively working towards promoting learning excellence through an evidence-informed approach to teaching, curriculum planning, implementation, and assessment.
The school seeks to effectively monitor student progress and support educational growth, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
Specific Selection Criteria:
- Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with complex needs such as mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, autism, behavioural difficulties and emotional disturbance.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate evidence-based teaching practices that respond to students' social, emotional, personal and academic learning needs.
- Demonstrated capacity to implement a variety of welfare strategies for students with behavioural difficulties that promote a positive, productive and caring learning environment.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a variety of teams and build strong and inclusive relationships with parents and members of the wider school community.
- Capacity to manage whole school programs that provide opportunities for students beyond the classroom.
