Electrical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Equipment Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with our team in maintaining and troubleshooting electro-mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, and equipment for wireline services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, Logging Unit, and Logging Truck.
  • Troubleshooting, testing, assembling, disassembling, and diagnosing mechanical electrical equipment for wireline services.
  • Operating, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Performing complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and conducting regular inspections and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
  • Identifying and communicating technical problems using logical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ensuring compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Australian Electrical License with full working rights in Australia.
  • Knowledge of electrical motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Diploma in a Technical or Trade background.
  • Familiarity with replacing or reconditioning shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Work Environment:

  • Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM with some flexibility in work and may require working overtime based on operational activities.
  • Fieldwork with clients in both land and offshore across Australia.
