We are seeking an experienced Workplace Injury Management Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Workers Compensation and Wellbeing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of claims and injuries across all Boral business units in South Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Workers Compensation and Wellbeing, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce workers compensation risk and costs for Boral, while providing strategic advice to the business on managing work-related injuries.
  • Participating in claim review meetings and collaborating with external claims managers to ensure best practice claims handling.
  • Maintaining confidential case notes in accordance with relevant legislation and privacy principles.
  • Overseeing the management of litigated claims in consultation with the Claims Manager and Head of Workers Compensation & Wellbeing.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • An Allied Health Qualification and relevant SA Accredited Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Proven experience in claims management, injury management, or rehabilitation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Workers Compensation Legislation for South Australia, preferably in a self-insured environment.
  • Experience in managing litigated claims and developing processes to improve early intervention and rehabilitation.
