We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced wedding coordinator to join our team at Thornbury Castle. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional wedding experiences that exceed our guests' expectations.

Salary: £26,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional bonus based on objectives and an additional share of service charge (approximately £4,000 per year)

About the Role:

  • As the first point of contact for all wedding enquiries, you will provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to all inquiries.
  • You will prepare proposals and contracts, check billings, invoices, and process payments to ensure seamless execution of weddings.
  • Your attention to detail will be crucial in producing accurate internal function sheets and ensuring the smooth running of events.
  • You will identify customers' needs and respond proactively to their concerns, providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • You will greet all function organisers and brides for each wedding, serving as the primary point of contact and taking full responsibility for the ceremony.
  • With a sales-driven approach, you will optimise every sales opportunity to promote the Castle's unique offerings and drive revenue growth.
  • You will conduct show rounds, organise and attend wedding fairs and internal events to showcase the Castle's capabilities and services.
  • You will meet targets, KPIs, schedules, follow company policies and procedures, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Effective communication will be essential in dealing with all enquiries and providing information and quotations via phone and email.
  • You will be guest-oriented and service-minded, prioritising the satisfaction of our clients and their guests.
  • Precise and detailed oriented, you will ensure that every aspect of the wedding is meticulously planned and executed.
  • This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends as required by the business.
  • You will receive 5 days sick pay after 6 months' service, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, and an additional paid day off on your birthday.

  • A previous experience as a coordinator is preferred but full training will be given, and ideally, you will have experience with PMS Opera or similar systems.
