Senior Analyst (Governance) Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst (Governance) to join our team in Perth's CBD. This is a temporary contract for 12 months initially, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months.

About the Role

As a Senior Analyst (Governance), you will be responsible for supporting and preparing financial assessments, corporate governance, and risk management frameworks. You will also develop advice to assist with assessments of companies entering a particular industry sector, review Governance Reports, and prepare advice for senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and prepare financial assessments, corporate governance, and risk management frameworks
  • Develop advice to assist with assessments of companies entering a particular industry sector
  • Review Governance Reports and prepare advice for senior management
  • Identify and research key trends and issues within the industry sector
  • Monitor and analyse financial reports and capital cost estimates
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Fully qualified in a relevant technical or accounting degree
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in corporate governance and risk management
  • Well-demonstrated reporting experience
  • Analytical mindset
  • Experience in building and monitoring financial models
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

To be eligible, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a Pre-Employment Suitability Assessment and Baseline Security Clearance. Member of the Governance Institute of Australia or similar. Knowledge within the petroleum, greenhouse gas, and renewable energy industries.
