About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pilbara Community Development Manager to join our Planning and Environment team in Perth, Port Hedland or Newman. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with community members, community groups, First Nations people and businesses, local businesses, government, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have several years' experience in a similar community liaison role, preferably gained in the infrastructure, mining, gas, or resources sector. They will also possess tertiary qualifications in social science, communications, anthropology, environmental management, planning, or another related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members, community groups, First Nations people, and businesses.
  • Advise and support project teams to ensure a consistent approach to community and stakeholder engagement and consultation.
  • Develop and implement project-specific Community and Social Performance Engagement Strategies and Engagement Plans to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Manage the development, coordination, and delivery of project engagement activities and communication materials that are fit for purpose, culturally appropriate, and inclusive.
