The Position

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will contribute to developing new projects and improving internal and customer-facing systems. We seek a passionate, proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills.

Our QA team consists of diverse professionals who foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, providing opportunities for growth regardless of your current skill set.

An average day may include:

  1. Thoroughly testing changes and new features across platforms.
  2. Creating detailed test plans and documentation.
  3. Liaising with developers and stakeholders to resolve defects and quality issues.
  4. Ensuring the final product meets all requirements.
  5. Validating and verifying feature functionality.
  6. Mentoring engineers on defect identification and self-testing improvements.

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years' experience in the software development lifecycle (personal and self-taught experience considered).
  • Detail-oriented and capable of identifying user experience issues.
  • Good understanding of software development and programming.
  • Curious and able to think outside the box to find niche edge cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate a command line and understand Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL, and ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.

Beneficial Skills to Have

  • Experience with QA tools like SoapUI, Postman, BurpSuite, ZAP, Fiddler.
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira and Trello.
  • Experience with PHP and web development.
  • Knowledge of the domain name and web hosting industry (cPanel, WHM, Plesk, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
