As a Credit Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial stability of our company. Your main responsibility will be to collect monies due from retail customers, ensuring that outstanding accounts and aged debts are reduced to a minimum.

About the Role
The Credit Officer is responsible for effectively collecting monies due from retail customers to ensure the reduction of outstanding accounts and aged debts. This involves maintaining records of outstanding debts and making arrangements to follow up on outstanding and bad debts. You will also be required to reconcile overdue debts via letters/telephone and organise debt collection/recovery.

You will work closely with the Credit team to deal with customer enquiries on accounts and process Direct Debits, Credit Card & Cheque banking for the branch. Your attention to detail and ability to identify reasons for discrepancies will be essential in reconciling Retail accounts.

Key Skills and Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Credit Management is highly desirable. However, if you have relevant experience in collections, we would still like to hear from you. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
