About the Job

We are seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team on a night shift basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing periodic diesel engine maintenance, conducting mechanical repairs and regular preventative maintenance, as well as paperwork and communication with excellent skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, be willing to work the night shift (4.00pm - 12.06am), have previous experience in their trade, and be able to obtain a Heavy Rigid Truck License. A strong work ethic, ability to work collaboratively within a team, high attention to detail, and AC and RWC licenses are also highly desirable.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to take on a challenging role and contribute to the success of our organization. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing periodic diesel engine maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of our vehicles
  • Conducting mechanical repairs and regular preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of our equipment
  • Managing paperwork and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communication with colleagues and stakeholders

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Previous experience in your trade
  • Ability to obtain a Heavy Rigid Truck License

  • High attention to detail
  • AC and RWC licenses (a bonus)
