Cybersecurity Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our organization. As a security engineer, you will play a critical role in monitoring, triaging, responding to, and documenting new and existing vulnerabilities in open source software.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and fix vulnerabilities in open source packages
- Collaborate with other teams to exchange or develop vulnerability patches
- Audit source code for vulnerabilities
- Build features and tools to strengthen the security of products and contribute to the overall security of Ubuntu
- Familiarity with common categories of security vulnerabilities and techniques for fixing them
- Familiarity with coordinated disclosure practices
- Familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Excellent logic, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
- Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and be committed to upholding our values and ideals
