The primary role of the Practice Manager is to oversee daily operations, ensuring clinical governance and compliance obligations are met while providing optical and dental services to members and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage adherence to current and emerging clinical compliance and risk mitigation obligations
  • Report to the Chief Commercial Officer and the Board as required, collating and interpreting data
  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations: rostering, supplies, leave request processing, payroll
  • Point of contact for the organization as a whole
  • Develop and implement strategies and procurement plans, including resourcing and recruitment
  • Manage staff performance, development, and professional growth
  • Ensure WHS, incidents, risks, compliments, and complaints management
  • Oversee end-of-month financial processing

Requirements:

  • Qualification in practice management or 2+ years of experience
  • Experience with Optomate and Dental4Windows
  • Background in the optical and/or dental industry
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Experience in delivering performance appraisals and development initiatives
  • Ability to manage projects and operational roles
  • Willingness to deepen expertise and knowledge of best practices relevant to the position
  • Excellent relationship, stakeholder, and influence skills
