About the Role
Rheinmetall Defence Australia Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join their Electronics Solutions team in Edinburgh, SA.
The successful candidate will work closely with Researchers and Data Engineers at DSTG, utilising and adapting open-source machine learning libraries to assist with automation of computer vision tasks for Analysts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assessment of training results, setting up additional training runs and reporting findings to researchers;
- Peer code review;
- Designing and implementing machine learning projects (both in development and production);
- Facilitating collaboration with RDA staff and clients;
- Identifying and pursuing ongoing personal development opportunities;
- Maintaining strict confidentiality;
- Contributing to business improvement/quality programs and enterprise risk management activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 3 years' experience with Machine Learning;
- Understanding of MLOPs and its relationships with the DevSecOps process;
- Experience with Python 3, including PyTorch/TensorFlow, NumPy, Pandas, matplotlib, Open CV, and Pillow;
- Experience with the software development lifecycle;
- Experience working with Linux & Bash;
- Experience with Docker and Docker-compose;
- Source code revision control system knowledge (GIT);
- Experience working with SQL;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required;
- Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 is required (must hold Australian Citizenship).
