About the Role

The Government of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Operations Team Manager to lead a team of professionals in achieving the objectives of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board's Regional Landscape Plan, the Limestone Coast Pest Plant and Animal Strategy, and the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Leader Habitat Conservation and Team Leader Sustainable Primary Production to achieve these objectives. The role is responsible for providing high-quality and timely advice and support to the Manager Landscape Operations in the development, implementation, delivery, and reporting on pest animal and plant control programs and natural resource management projects in the Limestone Coast Landscape Board region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of professionals in achieving the objectives of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board's Regional Landscape Plan, the Limestone Coast Pest Plant and Animal Strategy, and the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
  2. Work closely with the Team Leader Habitat Conservation and Team Leader Sustainable Primary Production to achieve these objectives.
  3. Provide high-quality and timely advice and support to the Manager Landscape Operations in the development, implementation, delivery, and reporting on pest animal and plant control programs and natural resource management projects in the Limestone Coast Landscape Board region.
  4. Develop and implement effective strategies to achieve the objectives of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board's Regional Landscape Plan, the Limestone Coast Pest Plant and Animal Strategy, and the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board's Regional Landscape Plan, the Limestone Coast Pest Plant and Animal Strategy, and the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
  6. Monitor and report on the progress of pest animal and plant control programs and natural resource management projects in the Limestone Coast Landscape Board region.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in natural resource management or a related field.
  2. Proven track record of achieving objectives and delivering results in a team environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board's Regional Landscape Plan, the Limestone Coast Pest Plant and Animal Strategy, and the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Ability to travel and work in a field environment.
