About Digital Learning

Effective digital learning experiences are crucial for staff to utilise technical resources and tools in their roles. The Digital Learning Design Lead plays a pivotal role in creating learner-centred solutions aligned with business objectives, accessibility standards, and organisational branding.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in leading the visual design of accessible, inclusive digital learning experiences. Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools is essential, as well as the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual and instructional outputs. Visual communication, layout design, and information visualisation skills across both digital and print formats are also critical.

Key responsibilities include leading the creative direction and end-to-end delivery of digital learning solutions, designing assessment structures, learning pathways, and interactive activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to co-design structured, outcomes-based learning experiences.

Other key aspects of this role include providing creative and instructional direction to developers, designers, and content contributors. Support for both digital and in-person learning programs through blended learning strategies and multimedia formats tailored to learner needs is also essential.

To excel in this position, you will need to demonstrate advanced graphic design expertise, strong understanding of adult learning and instructional design, and proficiency in LxD principles. Additionally, experience in creating impactful graphic and multimedia assets is beneficial.

A successful Digital Learning Design Lead must be able to foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and excellence within the organisation's Digital & ICT operations. They will identify, assess, and implement opportunities for ongoing improvement that support the organisation's ability to deliver against its business objectives.
