About the Role:

To maintain our commitment to delivering for customers and community, we have embarked on transformative projects requiring a Contracts and Procurement Specialist to join our Strategic Projects Team.

This role based in Newcastle will lead procurement and coordinate tender, creation, and management of contracts for strategic project portfolios.

The key responsibilities include working with Project Managers to tender, negotiate, and award high-value commercial contracts for significant machine refurbishments and project works, as well as administration and management of commercial contracts including transition support.

Other duties involve managing the end-to-end tender process for strategic projects, leading procurement for the project team, and engaging with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification or experience in procurement, project management, contracts, law, or related area
  • Experience in tendering, development, and review of high-value commercial contracts
  • Understanding of contracts and insurance law
  • Prior exposure in owner-operator contracts for critical infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
