Opportunity Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Disputes, Investigations and Advisory team in Canberra.

The successful candidate will work with Partners Melanie McKean and Rob Andersen, providing expert litigation and public law advice to a wide range of Commonwealth government clients.

The role offers a diverse and challenging workload, including:

  • Complex and routine civil litigation;
  • Regulatory investigations and litigation;
  • Public law (merits and judicial review, advisory work across various areas); and
  • Royal Commissions, Parliamentary inquiries, and investigations.

A competitive salary is on offer, estimated at around $250,000 - $320,000 per annum, depending on experience. This represents a comprehensive remuneration package, including benefits such as flexible working arrangements, corporate health plans, and global professional development opportunities.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional litigator with 4-8 years of experience in a top-tier firm, respected mid-tier firm, or Commonwealth/state government, with expertise in both civil claims and public law litigation/advisory work.

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a track record of success in high-stakes cases.
