Dietitian Role

This is a temporary position that involves working as an experienced clinician who is on maternity leave. The role will last approximately 6-9 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and treatment to prevent and manage chronic disease, with the goal of improving patient outcomes.
  • Measure and assess patients' diet history, interpreting biochemistry and anthropometric data to inform clinical decisions.
  • Develop and present educational talks on various health topics related to nutrition and health, engaging with diverse audiences and promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Travel to service delivery locations and provide excellent client service, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Accredited (Provisional or Full) Dietitian status through the relevant professional body.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients, with a focus on empathy and effective communication.

Work Environment:

This role involves working across medical centers and allied health facilities within the Ipswich/Scenic Rim/Somerset and Lockyer Valley areas. The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work required.
