Social Media Community Manager
">About the RoleThis position oversees our online presence, ensuring engagement and growth through effective content creation and community management.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable creating and executing content strategies, monitoring social media conversations, and identifying opportunities to insert our brand into relevant discussions.
">Key Responsibilities- Be the frontline voice for our brand on social media by shaping conversation, creating content, and responding to customer inquiries in real-time.
- Manage multiple social media handles, monitor, and engage with customers across various platforms.
- Assess inbound mentions and respond to customer inquiries or issues in partnership with our Customer Success team.
- Maintain social media calendars, project management workflows, post publishing, and analytics across platforms.
- Identify opportunities to insert our brand into relevant conversations with speed and authenticity.
- Create or source high-impact social content from customers and team members to promote our brand to business owners and future colleagues.
- Build a rich content strategy, focusing on video and audio, that drives online engagement.
- Manage social listening efforts and identify relevant moments important to our customers or impactful for our brand.
- Bring a creative mindset and share bold ideas outside the box.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in social media management, building and scaling online communities via a brand or agency.
- Demonstrable expertise in creating relevant content that aligns with current trends and audience needs.
- Excellent written and editing skills.
- Ability to design simple visual assets using existing templates and guidelines, with support from our in-house brand design team.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset when approaching challenges.
- Experience using social media listening and publishing tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
Our team thrives on in-person collaboration and fast-paced work environments. This role is based in our Melbourne CBD office, with an expectation of 4 days on-site per week and 1 day remote work option.
